Sharks Loss Stops Chance for Second Place

The Lakeshore Canadiens with their 5-2 win over our Sharks Wednesday evening are putting pressure on the league leaders from Essex. The Canadiens scored four first period goals to take a convincing lead. Wheatley got the score to 4-2 at the 6:28 mark of the third, but were unable to beat goalie Nick Bolton the rest of the way. Lakeshore added a tally for themselves giving them the three goal victory.Goal scorers for Wheatley were Darby Drouillard and Braedon Caetano.
At the time of this writing Lakeshore is only four points behind what a week ago seemed like runaways winners for first , Essex. Lakeshare also has two games in hand.Blenheim is one point behind Lakeshore and with this loss the Omstead Sharks have fallen into fourth place three behind the Blades.
