Saturday afternoon at the Shark Tank the hometown Wheatley boys gave league leading Essex 73,s about all they could handle. The 73,s tallied three third period goals to overcome a 3-2 deficit and win the game 5-3. The victory at the time of this writing moved Essex 3 points ahead of the Lakeshore Canadiens in the battle for first in the Stobbs Division.
Goal scorers for the Sharks were Kyle Bleau, Ethan Hamelin and Madden Drouillard, who incidently all played for Essex priorly.
Last home regular season game will be Wednesday at 7:30 pm when the Dresden Kings will be in town
