It was a battle of many sorts , but in the end the Lakeshore Canadiens came out on top of the Omstead Sharks by a score of 3-1. All three of their goals were scored on the powerplay. It was well played by all in the game but was often disrupted by penalty calls on both sides. Wheatley also had a goal disallowed. The referee cited that it had crossed the line after he had whistled it down. The bulk of the over 450 in attendance however disagreed, with one in particular sacrificing his spectacles.
The Omstead Sharks however couldnt find the back of the net in this contest to counter attack Lakeshores three tallies. Former Canadien Braydin Metcalfe scored the lone tally for Wheatley. Wheatley goaltender Ethan Handley was named the number one star stopping 28 Lakeshore shots coming his way.
Next action is Wednesday January 3rd @Wheatley Area Arena vs Essex 73’s 7:30pm game time
The Sharks would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year !!!!!
