Wednesday evening the Wheatley Omstwead Sharks put in a solid performance leading to a well earned 5-2 victory over the Mooretown Flags.It was a total team effort for the enire 60 minutes. The Sharks will need to continue this effort if they want to improve their place in thhe standings leading into the upcoming playoffs.
Scoring for the Sharks was Vito Alfano with two (12th,13th),Josh Chauvin (12th), Josh Bleau(8th), and defenceman Riley Zanier (2nd). Ethan Davis was solid between the pipes stopping 22 of 24 shots.
Coming up this weekend the team will be in Amherstburg Saturday evening. The Admirals are one position above the Sharks in the standings to date. It should be a spirited affair as both teams would like to improve their spots iin the standings during the remainder of the season.
