Sharks Battle Back for Victory

Five minutes and forty seconds into the first round of the quarter final series with the Mooretown Flags the Sharks were made aware this would not be an easy series.The team from Mooretown had built up a two goal lead before the water froze on the ice.But, the home team made a rally of their own scoring two to tie matters up by the eleven and a half minute mark.Scoring for the Sharks were Isaac Legood and Vito Alfano. Mooretown however would take their last lead of the game before the end of the first period .
Wheatley then played some fine hockey the rest of the way, tying the game in the second period on a Kyle Kelly tally and scoring the winner by Shannon Olson halfway through the third frame.Goaltender Ethan Handley closed the door on Mooretown after that opening frame.
The victory gives Wheatley a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series that continues Saturday evening in Moore Township, game time 7:30pm. Third game of the series is back at the Fish Tank in Wheatley , Monday night March 4th, 7:30pm game time.
