In the second meeting of their home and home series the Blenheim Blades edged the Wheatley Omstead Sharks by a score of 2-1. This follwed a convincing 6-3 win by Wheatley in Blenheim this past Sunday evening.The two teams are in a three way battle for second place with Lakeshore, who trail the Sharks by 2 points who are now 2 behind Blenheim.Newcomer Braydin Metcalfe scored for the Sharks.
Wheatleys next contest will be on Saturday at 4:30pm vs the Walpole Island Wild. The game is part of Alumni Day for players of old in Shark history. There will be two oldtimer games previous to the Omstead Shark game beginning at 1:30.Dont miss the talents of the old and the present at the Wheatley Area Arena Saturday.
