The boys from Wheatley put up a valiant effort in front of the home crowd but fell to the first place Essex 73,s by a 1-0 score. Essex scored their only tally of the game early in the third period. Saturday marked the first home appearance of the Shark,s newest additions in Luc Blanchette and Nick Cameron. The battle for third place will be up for grabs in the month of January and first weeks of February. The Sharks currently hold that spot down with Amherstburg, Mooretown and Blenheim all fighting to take away.
