Empty Net Goal Turns into Winner

Josh Chauvin scored an empty net goal (7th) at 19:21 of the third period that at the time gave Wheatley a 3-1 lead. The Walpole Wild put a scare into the over 250 fans in the arena scoring at 19:51 to make it a one goal lead. Fortunately for the Sharks they were able to hang on for the victory. The win moved the Sharks into 5th place momentarily 2 points behind the Mooretown Flags and 1 point up on the Dresden Kings.Wheatley’s next action will be at league leading Essex 73’s on Tuesday November 25th , followed by a home game with the currently 2nd place Blenheim Blades the following evening –game time 730pm.

Also scoring for the Sharks were Seth Zylstra (3rd) and Matteo Pereira with his first of his PJHL carreer. Congrats Matteo!!!
