Wednesday evening the visiting Blenheim Blades edged out the Sharks from Wheatley in back to back contests,after defeating them just this past Sunday in Blenheim. This time the score was 4-2, including an empty net tally by the winners.
Scoring for the Sharks was Austin Fraser(2nd) and Brendan Gouin(7th). Adam Flanagan made 20 saves in net for Wheatley.
The very next evening the Omstead Sharks found themselves in a quick turnaround contest in Walpole Island. The Sharks built a 3-1 lead in the contest before Walpole clawed their way back to tieing things up 4-4 late in the game. It took only 1 minute and 13 seconds for Vito Alfano to set up Brendan Gouin(8th& 9th) for the game winner and second of the game.Other scorers for Wheatley were Hayden Klem(5th),and the Bleau brothers Josh(4th) & Kyle(7th). Tender Ethan Davis stopped 30 of 34 shots fired his way in the nets for the Sharks.
